The town is situated on the edge of a large lake and serves as a tourist hub for the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. Surrounded by the beautiful Lago Argentino and snowy mountain vistas, the town is filled with charming tourist shops and restaurants along its main street. The Perito Moreno Glacier, located 80km from the town, is a spectacular sight that is considered one of the world's most beautiful glaciers. While El Calafate as a town may not have much to offer, it serves as the gateway to a mesmerizing and magical spectacle that you simply can't stop admiring.
